Brave Announces Move to Catch

Things have certainly been wild for Brave Collective over the past three months.

Only three months into their invasion of Cloud Ring, Brave Collective have announced they will be exiting the region, their leadership stating: “living in Cloud Ring under the current circumstances is untenable”.

While Brave had some initial success in their offensive against the Initiative in the region, they have lacked the super-capital capacity to deal with escalations from Pandemic Legion and Northern Coalition forces after they entered the conflict. Following several weeks of heavy losses against Pandemic Legion with little hope of winning a decisive engagement; Brave’s leadership praised their memberships “enthusiasm and fortitude in persevering through these fights” but has finally concluded that, “the sad reality is that fighting pyrrhic victories, last ditch defences and otherwise losing actions is no fun at all.”

With the announcement of their effective surrender of Cloud Ring, Brave now plans to move to the galactic south, positioning towards their old stomping grounds of GE-8 in Catch. This planned move also comes with the announcement that Brave will be joining the recently renamed coalition Legacy, made up largely of Circle of Two and T.E.S.T Alliance Please Ignore along with other smaller alliances who had launched an invasion of the galactic south last month after being expelled from Tribute by the combined forces of PanFam.

Questions over the plan to join up with the infamously fickle Circle of Two, who only a few months ago turned traitor on the Imperium during the Casino War, were preempted by Brave’s leadership who told members. “I will only say that I have misgivings based on prior dealings with some of our new (or Old) allies, and that If I can be prepared to make a new start and move forward, so can you.”

Whether or not Brave stays in Catch for the long term is still to be seen. The region itself is one of the poorer regions in null-sec space, commonly used as a staging ground and highway by alliances looking to invade more prosperous nearby regions. Circle of Test utilized the region for exactly this purpose after their removal from Tribute several months ago. On the other hand, Catch may be beneficial for Brave as the region provides relatively easy travel from high-sec for new members, and there will be plenty of smaller scale fights to be had in the conflict rich region.

Much of Brave’s future may now be decided by the plans of their new coalition partners in Legacy. There has been an interesting build-up of forces in the galactic south in recent months by groups bloodied in their previous conflicts with both PanFam and Imperium. The effect of this build-up on the long-term balance of power in null-sec politics is yet to be seen, but the growing coalition may prove to be the seed of future conflict across New Eden.

Whatever the future holds for Brave, we wish them the best of luck in Catch and beyond.
